Frequenty asked questions

How does it work?

It’s simple. You select from one of the services above (in the blue bar) and answer a few questions designed to quickly establish your exact requirements specific to your company. Once you have completed our questionnaire and submitted your contact details, we assign a negotiator to approach multiple suppliers and gather quotes for your required service. We then compile the quotes into a detailed search results document which is emailed to you in PDF format. You then tell us which companies you would like to hear more from and we do the rest.

How long does it take?

Due to the popularity of this service, our negotiators need to prioritise the delivery of your search results according to the level of urgency. For example, if you urgently need a new service or supplier within the next few weeks, we endeavour to have the search results back to you as quickly as possible. However, if you are just curious and gathering information for a future project, we will first make contact and establish your timescales before agreeing on a timeframe in which to work with you and move your project forward.

How do you select which suppliers to approach?

We are only interested in negotiating with established suppliers who have acquired a reputation within their industry for quality services. We do not have an ‘index’ or approved list of suppliers who pay us money to find them sales leads. We pride ourselves on being impartial and independent, so we only make contact with companies who are genuinely equipped with the manpower, expertise and resources to meet your requirements.

What if I don’t have all the information you need?

Don’t worry if you don’t have all the information immediately to hand, we can contact you by phone if we need clarification.

Am I under obligation to accept the quotes you give me?

You are never under obligation to accept any quote for any product or service until you sign the contract with the chosen supplier. All we ask, is that you respect the efforts of our negotiators by not using our service purely for information purposes but only if you are genuine about acquiring new systems and services in the short term. By selecting and notifying us of your chosen suppliers from our search results you allow us to recover the costs of our service, put you in touch with the suppliers you want to talk to and drive your project forward.

How much does the service cost?

It’s completely free to use Tendervendors to search for products or services. We are primarily an information service, and recover our costs from the suppliers. All we ask is that you respect our efforts on your behalf and reciprocate by allowing us to deal with the suppliers exclusively as your representatives before handing your details over to the suppliers you choose.

How do you make any money?

We recover the costs of our service by charging a small commission to suppliers who are selected by our clients. More information on our fee structure for suppliers can be found in the terms and conditions section of this website.

Can we sell our services on Tendervendors?

Tendervendors is not an index of approved suppliers. We only approach companies based on their reputation for quality of service according to our knowledge of the industry. If you are a supplier of any of the services we offer, you are welcome to contact us and make us aware of your company. However, the final decision on whether we recommend your services to clients is ours and cannot be dictated by (or dependent on) any prior arrangement.

How will our company information be used?

Tendervendors takes its commitment to the privacy of its clients very seriously. We endeavour not to request information from your company that is commercially sensitive, although in some cases this may be inevitable due to the complexity of the product or service you require. In such instances we keep all information in strict confidence and only divulge company details to suppliers when we have specifically been asked to do so by you. For more information please refer to our Privacy Policy.
